Studio news

The date is set...

We are delighted to announce the OPEN DAY for our NEW state-of-the-art Swing Studio: Surrey Custom Fit has now been confirmed. We will be hosting the open event on Saturday, 1 February, on which we will be displaying our swing studio and all the services we are now proud to offer.

Full event details will be displayed in the Pro Shop, with a Top Gear style leaderboard for longest drive active on the day (Men's and Ladies leaderboards).

We are very excited to be bringing this great facility to West Byfleet Golf Club and we look forward to seeing many of you on the day.

Protect your clubs

We are now proud to offer a clear Paint Protection Wrap for all graphite and steel golf clubs.
This is a special film which avoids damage to the shaft from golf bag wear and tear. A number of members have already had this film applied.

The cost is £4.99 per club with a discounted rate for full sets.

Please feel free to ask one of the Pro Shop staff for a full explanation of this Paint Protection Film.

Ladies Yonex Coffee Morning

Layer up

Last week we talked about one of our favourite topics: rain! Whilst waterproof protection is key for staying dry when caught in a downpour, combining layers of clothing underneath is vital if you want to enjoy the warmth without being so restricted that you can’t complete your backswing.

What do we mean by layering?

Lots of golfers are still in the habit of putting on as many layers as they possibly can in the winter to combat the cold – a vest, turtleneck, polo, sweater and jacket – but today’s golf clothing could easily cut that down by half.

What do we suggest?

From polos that keep you at a cool temperature in the summer to padded jackets that lock in warmth like adidas' Frostguard above, having the right piece of clothing can do the job of several poor layers. Pop by the shop to have a look at our clothing collections.
